What Is Sex Addiction?

Sex addiction is characterized by compulsive sexual thoughts and actions. With any addiction, behaviors must intensify over time to achieve the same "high" and gratification. For some sex addicts it does not go beyond compulsive masturbation and excessive pornography or phone/ Internet sex services. For other addicts, sex addiction can comprise of exhibition, voyeurism, obscene phone calls/ emails/ text messages, child molestation, or rape. As sex becomes less and less taboo in today's society, more individuals are developing sex addiction.
